Carrie Quinlan

Carrie Quinlan is a British actress, comedy writer and journalist. She mainly works in satire for BBC radio comedy, writing material for satirical comedies such as The Now Show. She is also a regular panellist on The News Quiz. She is the youngest child of Mary and Michael Quinlan.

History

Quinlan trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She started out performing in the theatre, appearing in plays such as Hedda Gabler, As You Like It, Measure for Measure and The Seagull. Quinlan then moved into radio. She started to write for shows such as The Now Show, Tilt, The Alternative Women's Institute and This Day. She also started writing for television, for programmes such as The Late Edition and Stop the World. As of 2008, Quinlan became a regular panellist on The News Quiz, where she and chairman Sandi Toksvig often banter about their respective heights.

Quinlan also works as a journalist, writing for New Humanist Magazine and The Guardian.[1]
